Upcoming theatre events

I am currently directing two plays simultaneously, which has really eaten into my writing time.  On the other hand, working on these two projects has been eminently satisfying.

The first piece is a 10-minute short play called That Thing You Do With Your Tongue, by Bob Murphy, and is part of the New Works Festival at the Firehouse Center in Newburyport, MA.  It is a four day festival, Friday, January 20, Saturday, January 21, Friday, January 27, and Saturday, January 28.  The short plays are performing on the second Saturday (1/28).  I have an amazing cast, and we are working on an extremely funny play.  Tickets are $13 for a single evening, and $38 for a pass for all four evenings.  You can find out more info at http://www.firehouse.org/L3-shows-theater-NewWorks.html.

The other piece is a reading of a new play called Two Boys Lost, by Bill Doncaster.  It is performing at the Actor's Studio of Newburyport as part of their monthly reading series on Saturday, January 14 at 10am.  It is a drama about a family dealing with mental illness.  I have a really strong cast and I am so excited to share the piece.  I really hope the playwright is there, and that he is happy with what we have done with his words.  Admission is free.

If you find yourself in the area, please check out one or both of the shows.  Hope to see you there.
